Tralee Shea: Designing Local Ads That Build Trust in Fairfield County
Designing Local Ads That Build Trust in Fairfield County
In this video, Tralee Shea shares her experience working through the Develomark Cohort Program and the process behind creating a locally focused digital advertisement for a Fairfield County business. From initial concepting to client feedback and design revisions, this project highlights how strategic collaboration can lead to stronger, trust-driven ad creative that resonates with a local audience.
Collaborating with Designers and Clients for Better Results
As part of the cohort program, Tralee met with both internal web designers and the client to review and refine ad concepts. After selecting a leading design from several initial options, she revised the creative based on feedback from:
- Roman
- Kevin
- Lauren
- Emily
Working directly with the design team and client provided valuable insight into what the business wanted to communicate, ensuring the final advertisement aligned with both brand standards and business goals.
Emphasizing Local Reputation Through Design
The final advertisement was developed to highlight the company’s strong presence within Fairfield County. Key design elements included:
- Service-based imagery
- Consistent brand color usage
- Google five-star review ratings
By focusing on locality and reputation, the ad communicates credibility and reinforces the business’s ability to deliver real results to nearby customers.
Iterating on Creative Concepts
Throughout the design process, ongoing feedback played an important role in improving the overall quality of the advertisement. Meeting with both designers and the client helped identify opportunities for refinement and ensured the creative direction remained aligned with project goals.
Tralee noted that creating an additional variation of the final design could have further strengthened the process by giving the client multiple layout options to compare. Presenting slight variations in imagery or review placement may have helped the client feel more confident in selecting a final direction.
