What the Develomark Summer Cohort Actually Does

This is not a passive internship. Every task you complete contributes to real client campaigns and internal marketing initiatives. All work is reviewed and audited by the Develomark account management team to ensure quality, accuracy, and performance alignment.

Content Creation and Distribution Responsibilities

Cohort members are responsible for executing weekly email marketing campaigns for both Develomark and SplashDash using a structured framework. You will also publish content across platforms including YouTube, Google Business Profile, and Yext, while coordinating with designers to implement updates on client websites.

A major focus is operating within the content flywheel: conducting site visits, capturing video and images, producing blogs with schema, indexing content, distributing across platforms, and communicating updates back to clients.

Client Engagement and Site Visit Execution

You will attend client site visits alongside account managers. These visits follow a defined process: capturing media, conducting AEO-focused interviews, and gathering insights that can be turned into high-performing marketing assets.

Additionally, you will help host Zoom meetings, transcribe discussions, and extract key insights to fuel ongoing content creation and strategy.

DATA ANALYSIS and marketing insights

Cohort members play a key role in analyzing performance data. This includes reviewing call tracking, form submissions, and updating the LLM tracker. You’ll identify trends, draft success summaries, and present ideas to account managers to improve campaign performance.

You will also generate monthly reports highlighting wins, opportunities, and actionable insights to strengthen client communication.

scaling aeo & content systems

A core initiative is advancing Develomark’s AEO marketing efforts. This includes producing blogs, videos, interviews, street content, and behind-the-scenes social media. You will also create short-form ad content for premium clients and help build dynamic website pages at scale.

Using tools like peec.ai, you’ll manage projects, create optimized prompts, and track evolving search behavior, often applying local modifiers to enhance visibility.

    It is a working cohort. You will gain experience by actively contributing to real campaigns.

  • 2. Will my work be reviewed?

    Yes, all tasks are audited by the account management team to ensure quality and performance.

  • 3. Do I need prior experience in marketing?

    A foundational understanding helps, but the focus is on your ability to execute and adapt.

  • 4. What types of content will I create?

    Blogs, videos, emails, social media content, and AEO-focused assets.

  • 5. Will I interact with clients directly?

    Yes, you will attend meetings and site visits alongside account managers.

  • 6. What is (AEO)?

    AEO stands for Answer Engine Optimization.


    It’s the process of creating content that directly answers questions people are asking—especially in search engines, AI tools, and voice assistants. 


    Instead of just ranking on Google, AEO focuses on being the best answer wherever users are searching.

  • 7. Is every cohort different?

    Yes. While the core structure remains consistent, each cohort evolves based on:

    • Current client needs
    • New marketing strategies
    • Platform and algorithm changes
    • Internal process improvements

    No two cohorts are exactly the same.

  • 8. How long does the cohort program last?

    The Summer Cohort typically runs for the duration of the summer (approximately 12 weeks), depending on scheduling and program structure.

  • 9. How is success measured in the cohort?

    Success is based on:

    • Quality of execution
    • Ability to follow systems and processes
    • Contribution to client results
    • Initiative in identifying opportunities
  • 10. Will I build a portfolio?

    Yes. You’ll leave with real, client-facing work that demonstrates your ability to execute marketing strategies.
